Job Description:
HCL Commerce Leader - Job Description - 8+ Years
- Ensure effective utilization of environments so that they are used in the most cost-efficient way
- Ensure the design and architecture of the hosted infrastructure supports the technical needs of the business
- Ensure that there are DR plans in place to meet agreed SLAs and ensure feature parity across Data Centres
- Define and implement consistent and robust support and change processes that are well documented and in line with agreed standards
- Work with Delivery Teams to define the correct infrastructure for their needs
- Implement monitoring of the infrastructure to ensure that system performance is optimal and that potential issues are actioned before becoming service impacting
- Work with the Infosec team to ensure compliance to security policy
- Work with the Corporate Networks team to ensure that infrastructure is aligned with global networks strategy
- Be a driver for Operational Excellence from your team
- Be the escalation point for Infrastructure issues
- Qualifications for ecommerce lead
- Own the governance for Public Cloud usage
- Significant knowledge of the network concept behind VMware technology
- Significant proven experience in delivering mission critical, highly robust and scalable hosted platforms for high-volume websites
- Experience of public/private/hybrid cloud, like AWS for public Cloud and vRA (vRealize Automation) for VMware part
- Strong technical appreciation and deep understanding of a wide range of technologies and concepts, including Cloud (OpenStack, AWS), Libvirt, Load Balancing, Linux, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, DNS, SDN, Cisco, Checkpoint, Firewalls
