Job Description:
Front End Performance Engineer:
We are seeking a skilled Front End Performance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in monitoring applications like AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), Commerce platforms, and microservices hosted on AWS. The candidate should be proficient in using performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), New Relic, and Glassbox.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze the performance of front-end applications, including AEM, Commerce platforms, and microservices hosted on AWS.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and areas for optimization in front-end code and infrastructure.
- Configure and create alerts in monitoring tools to proactively detect and respond to performance issues.
- Setup missing monitoring for critical components and services.
- Collaborate with the Quality Engineering (QE) team to define performance test windows and provide support during performance testing.
- Monitor performance issues reported during testing, investigate root causes, and report findings to the relevant teams.
- Compare performance metrics across different environments and releases to identify trends and deviations.
- Work closely with development teams to implement resolutions for performance issues.
- Continuously improve monitoring strategies and tools to enhance performance visibility and detection capabilities.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- years of experience as a Front End Performance Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing performance of AEM, Commerce platforms, and microservices on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ELK, New Relic, and Glassbox.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing code fixes to optimize performance.
- Ability to configure and create alerts in monitoring tools to proactively detect performance issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
