Job Description:

Sutherland is seeking a leadership-oriented and self-motivated person to join us as a Wellness Coach. If you are looking to build a fulfilling career and are confident you have the skills and experience to help us succeed, we want to work with you! 

The primary role of the Wellness Coach is to promote a culture of wellbeing by developing and deploying a Wellness Program that embeds wellbeing into everyday life and improves the overall employee experience.  Through the program, you will create awareness of wellbeing and the signs of ill health, investigate preventative measures and ensure people know what support is available.  The primary stakeholders are people managers, to help them understand their role supporting their team, and individuals to encourage personal ownership and help employees achieve holistic wellbeing. 

The outcomes of the program are to create awareness, to support people managers, to improve the wellbeing of employees and positively impact engagement. It will include looking into habits, environments and relationships that may contribute to physical and mental wellbeing. The scope of the program will include both office environments and remote working.

Role summary

  • Create innovative and effective wellness programs and interventions to encourage positive lifestyle choices and or make recommendations for changes in personal habits
  • Create awareness of wellness resources and materials that lead to self-development
  • Set up a community of wellness champions/first aiders
  • Use data to continually evaluate the quality and effectiveness of programs
  • Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to Team/People Managers to help them support their teams and approach the topic of wellbeing with confidence
  • Facilitate training sessions on wellness topics including but not limited to resilience and wellbeing, stress management, nutrition, weight management, physical fitness, work life balance
  • Create and administer surveys to gather data and employee feedback. Analyze the results and make recommendations for actions
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on the wellness program, its implementation and effectiveness using data and reports
  • Collaborate with wellness partners/vendors to ensure high quality products and services are delivered and well-utilized
  • Undertakes risk analyses and makes recommendations to for changes and ensuring regulatory compliance (wherever applicable)

Qualifications:

 

  • Qualification in psychology, counseling, health promotion, fitness, or related health field.
  • Experience as a wellness coach in a corporate setting preferred
  • Proven experience in health management: prevention, screening, behavior modification, and other holistic wellness management modalities.
