Job Description:
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) professional with expertise in ABAP development and integration for a key role in our SAP Implementation projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of hands-on experience working on SAP projects, including the management of SAP BTP – ABAP Development and Integration. The role involves leading the technical and functional aspects of SAP implementations, including integration between various SAP and non-SAP systems, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions on SAP BTP.
Key Responsibilities:

SAP BTP Architecture & Integration:
-
Lead the design, development, and integration of SAP BTP-based solutions.

Develop and manage custom ABAP programs, interfaces, and enhancements within the SAP BTP environment.
-
Coordinate integration between SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, etc.) and non-SAP systems using APIs, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and other integration tools.

Ensure seamless data flow between different systems using SAP BTP services such as SAP Fiori, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, and SAP HANA Cloud.

ABAP Development:
-
Provide hands-on ABAP development for custom reports, forms, enhancements, and interfaces within SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA.

Optimize existing ABAP code and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for ABAP development and guide junior developers and other team members.

Technical Leadership & Mentoring:

Lead the technical team in executing SAP BTP projects, ensuring alignment with best practices and client requirements.

Mentor and guide less-experienced team members on ABAP development and integration best practices.

Collaborate with business and functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with business needs and objectives.

Project Management & Delivery:

Manage and deliver SAP BTP implementation projects, ensuring timely and successful completion within scope and budget.

Track project progress and deliverables, mitigating risks and resolving issues as they arise.

Conduct regular status meetings with project stakeholders and ensure clear communication of project goals, milestones, and outcomes.

Client Interaction & Stakeholder Management:

Communicate effectively with clients and business users to gather technical requirements, document functional specifications, and provide regular updates on project progress.

Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients on best practices for leveraging SAP BTP in their enterprise ecosystem.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in SAP BTP and ABAP technologies.

Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve project delivery, performance, and client satisfaction.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in development processes, testing, and deployment practices.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:
-
Extensive experience in ABAP development, including reports, enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, and workflows.

Strong knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including SAP Cloud Integration, SAP HANA Cloud, and Fiori development.

Proven experience in integrating SAP with non-SAP systems using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), APIs, or middleware tools.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori applications is highly desirable.

Project Management & Leadership:

Proven track record of leading successful SAP implementation projects from inception to go-live.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and interact with clients.

Experience & Education:

A minimum of 9 years of experience in SAP with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP BTP - ABAP Development and Integration.

SAP certification in ABAP or SAP BTP is a plus.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and resolve complex technical issues.

Ability to troubleshoot and debug technical issues within SAP BTP and ABAP environments.
Additional Preferred Skills:

Experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations or upgrades.

Knowledge of SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP), and SAP Fiori development.

Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
