Job Description:
Sutherland is seeking an attentive and analytical person to join us as a Data Architect (MS SQL & Cloudera), to be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing the architecture of enterprise data platforms. Responsibilities:
- Keep management updated: Provide timely and accurate architectural documentation and reports on data systems and pipelines.
- Impact the bottom line: Develop scalable, secure, and optimized data solutions using MS SQL and CloudEra that support analytics, reporting, and operational systems.
- Define Sutherland’s data foundation: Design robust data models, define data integration patterns, and ensure the consistency and quality of data across systems.
- Strengthen relationships: Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet business goals.
- Take the lead: Own end-to-end architecture design and execution of data platforms, lead data modernization and migration efforts, and ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this position, you must:
- Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / M.C.A
- Possess 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on MS SQL Server and Cloudera (Hadoop ecosystem).
- Have deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling (dimensional & normalized).
- Be proficient in SQL performance tuning, index optimization, and query analysis.
- Have experience in designing and implementing big data platforms using Cloudera technologies such as Hive, Impala, HDFS, Spark, etc.
- Understand cloud platforms(AWS/Azure/GCP) and data migration strategies (preferred).
- Be attentive to details and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively share complex ideas with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach in troubleshooting and continuous improvement of data infrastructure.
