Job Description:
Required Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA.
* Proficiency with SQL Server all versions and related tools.
* Strong experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
* Deep knowledge and troubleshooting skills on Always On, SQL Server Clustering, and Replication.
* Experience managing Azure SQL (IAAS & PAAS) databases.
* Good understanding of Azure SAAS integration models for SQL solutions.
* Strong scripting experience with PowerShell for task automation.
* Solid understanding of backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high availability.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
* Knowledge of other cloud platforms (OCI, AWS) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor, maintain, and optimize the performance of SQL Server databases (on-prem and cloud).
* Implement and support AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Replication, and SQL Server Clustering.
* Manage and troubleshoot issues in both Managed and Unmanaged Azure SQL databases.
* Provide expertise in Azure IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS environments for SQL-based solutions.
* Implement database security, backups, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
* Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting and other DevOps practices is a plus.
* Conduct root cause analysis and provide long-term solutions for database issues.
* Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to support deployment pipelines and SQL optimization.
* Expertise in SQL Server migration strategies, including in-place and side-by-side upgrades, as well as installation, patching,
and troubleshooting across various SQL Server versions.
