Sutherland Healthcare is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Software Engineer to join our Data Migration Team. The ideal candidate will assist in the setup, configuration, and support of healthcare application environments, including SQL Server installations, database backups/restores, and Windows Server troubleshooting. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.
Job Description:
- Perform SQL Server installation, configuration, and maintenance as per project requirements.
- Handle database backups and restores to support data migration and deployment activities.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot healthcare applications on Windows Server environments.
- Monitor and resolve system, service, and application-level issues during and after installations.
- Collaborating with team members and project leads to ensure timely and accurate data migration.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installation procedures, issues, and resolutions.
- Support migration and deployment activities during weekends and night shifts.
- Ensure adherence to organization’s compliance, quality, and security standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in SQL Server management, application installation, or data migration.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server (install, backup, restore)
- Good knowledge of Windows Server administration and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Azure or cloud environments (preferred)
- Understanding of healthcare application environments is a plus
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a night-shift and weekend-based schedule
